CUSTOMER CARE TECHNICIAN

DeSantis Homes is expanding! Due to our ongoing rapid growth, we are looking for a highly skilled and personable Customer Care Technician that is knowledgeable about every aspect of new home construction and repairs and can interact with homeowners/trades. You must have strong work ethics and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

The main objective of this role is to conduct PDI prep and address all items from the 30 day, year-end, and two-year list. You will interact with Homeowners to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and high-quality workmanship. This role reports to the Customer Care Supervisor to complete work orders, work with trades to complete repairs, or when necessary, use your construction experience to complete repairs directly. As one of the last departments in the homebuilding process, you will identify chronic issues to improve the Service Department’s performance. The Customer Care Technician strives to meet tight timelines and is proactive in identifying all deficiencies to prevent re-occurrences unit to unit, or site to site. You provide all site-service related duties, to address all deficiencies to DeSantis and Tarion standards, and ensure a delightful customer service experience.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Previous experience working for a home builder is a MUST
• Must be multi-talented to perform minor repairs of any nature thereby avoiding costly PO’s to sub-trades
• Must have strong trouble-shooting skills related to the structure/building components
• Must possess/display a confident, approachable and respectable appearance
• Conduct internal inspection of units prior to P.D.I. and report any deficiencies to Service Supervisor
• Complete 30 day and year-end service request list in appropriate time frame
• Be available for after-hours emergency calls
• Provide exceptional service to ensure a positive experience for every purchaser
• Must be familiar with all Tarion guidelines and strive to exceed them whenever possible
• Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Must have team mentality and work well with all Trade partners and staff
• Represent DeSantis Homes in a helpful and positive manner
• Complete any “in house” repairs (i.e. head office, sales office, etc.)
