2nd Annual Summer Street Party Success!

When a community comes together magic truly happens. This was evident yes again as thousands flooded the streets of downtown Grimsby for the 2nd Annual Summer Street Party. Having raised $160,000 thanks to all of the sponsors and a strong will for the greater good, the night of August 17th, 2019 four not for profit organizations each received a cheque for $40,000. The West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation, Gillian’s Place, Grimsby Benevolent Fund and Habitat for Humanity

Niagara all have a strong connection to the Grimsby area. Homes By DeSantis coordinated one of the biggest crowd gatherings downtown Grimsby has ever seen and all for a great cause.

The night began with the return of Dan the Music Man, kids of all ages had a blast dancing and singing along to Dan’s own brand of family friendly music. Special Characters and Disney Princesses toured the street for photos and meet and greets accompanied by Magicians and Fluffy the Clown! As the night progressed gelato and delicious foods like gourmet hot dogs and hamburgers were shared as everyone enjoyed the impressive car show exhibiting over a dozen exotic cars from Ferrari’s to a Mustang Saleen.

As the latter of the evening approached, the licensed patio was filled with excited revelers, thanks to The Forty Creek Public House who extended their patio order to accommodate almost 500 people just in front of the stage, and what a show it was! An unbelievable performance by The Country Junkies warmed up the audience for the headliner, Country Music Star Tebey, who is currently enjoying international success with songs such as Denim on Denim, Jealous of the Sun and Who’s Gunna Love You.

It was a night that will not soon be forgotten and optimistically serves as a catalyst for next years Summer Street Party success in combination with Homes By DeSantis’ 60 year anniversary.
