DeSantis Homes Gives Back

WAM 4

This Fall proved to be a very busy and rewarding time for DeSantis Homes, with two major fundraising endeavors, the team proved time and time again that bringing people together in efforts to raise awareness for important causes will always be a major priority for the company.

Through Walk A Mile in HER Shoes and additional fundraising initiatives, DeSantis Homes has raised over $100,000 in support of Gillian’s Place, an establishment continuously taking steps forward to end gender based violence within the community. Returning to the Penn Centre this year, October 15th, WAM 2022 proved to be a success with over 150 walkers and $120,000 raised in support of the cause. President of DeSantis Homes, Gabriel DeSantis states “As an ambassador, my steadfast commitment is to continue building and strengthening inclusive, safe communities with zero tolerance for gender based violence.” Gabriel is a dedicated Walk a Mile ambassador and past winner of the largest individual fundraiser for the past three years, and the team at DeSantis Homes will strive to do even better next year!

October also began a month-long journey for DeSantis Homes, raising awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. With a 50/50 raffle for a mystery gift basket, on-site bake sale and opportunities to donate at the DeSantis Homes Head Office in Grimsby, the team raised $1,600 for the foundation. DeSantis Homes’ Director of Executive Administration, Jas Clarke had this to say “Breast cancer continues to be the most commonly diagnosed cancer and second leading cause of cancer-related death among Canadian women. It was important for me and the women of this company to be able to raise funds in creative ways that could be successful in bringing awareness to the cause. I am proud of our team, and we will strive to do better next year”. Together as a community, we can all make a difference.
