Walk a Mile in HER Shoes® is a symbolic march that gives men the opportunity to take a stand against the societal restrictions placed on women, and specifically the issue of violence against women and children. Over the past 15 years, the Walk a Mile fundraiser has raised over one million dollars for Gillian’s Place. “As an ambassador, my steadfast commitment is to continue building and strengthening inclusive, safe communities with zero tolerance for gender-based
violence.” says DeSantis Homes President, Gabriel DeSantis. After a successful turn out last year, Gabe DeSantis’ plan to continue supporting this cause in 2021 turned out to be a huge success. On Saturday October 16th, Gabe and his team walked the catwalk outdoors along the Grimsby waterfront trail, raising $25,000 with the support of his family, friends, and staff.
