Holiday — Door Décor
Wreaths
A big glorious wreath on the front door is perfect entry to the holiday home. It can also add a festive touch to the space over a fire place mantel or hanging in a window. Pine boughs, ivy, eucalyptus sprays, box hedge stems, cedar and ferns are just a few kinds of fresh greenery you can use to make wreaths.
Here are some easy steps to create your very own fresh green wreath, and then choose bows & accents to compliment your interior décor.
Fresh Greens
1. Make a base using two wire coat hangers. Wire the hangers together and cover with floral tape. Floral tape is a green tape similar to that used for painting but with a more canvas type feel.
2. Cut several 8″ to 10″ long branches of greenery — or create small bundles of greenery with the floral wire.
3. Using lightweight floral wire, secure the branches/bundles to the wreath base. Overlap the stems. Keep adding stems untilthe wreath base is fully covered.
4. Secure decorations with floral wire or hot glue.
