With a history dating back to the 1700s, Stoney Creek was established as a city in 1984 and has retained its agricultural and historic charm even as it’s built an impressive array of modern conveniences. Amalgamated with the rest of the cities of the Regional Municipality of Hamilton–Wentworth in 2001, its Olde Town continues to flourish, showcasing historic architecture, plenty of local shops, beautiful parks and numerous local art festivals and events held throughout the year.
